Vazzello is a formulator and manufacturer of nutraceutical supplements and “super foods” located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Our area of focus is cardiovascular and blood vessel health and how it relates to overall health and well-being.
Our preferred method of formulation is the drinking powder. It eliminates dose size restrictions normally associated with pills – You can get more nutraceutical components into a powder and larger quantities. Importantly, it makes the formulas accessible to those who don’t like or have difficulty swallowing pills. We work hard to make the experience pleasant by carefully eliminating the off flavors that are usually present in supplement powder drinks.
Blood vessel health is not only about the heart itself but is implicated in almost every aspect of our health, including cognitive function and organ health. Most heart and vascular problems begin with damage to the thin inside layer of the blood vessel called the endothelium. Therefore we must use strategies to protect this delicate layer for optimal health and quality of life. We want to start the conversation by asking: “What have you done for your vessels today?”
Why is vessel targeted nutrition so important?
For example, an intervention as simple as optimizing magnesium status could affect millions of lives alone. High quality meta analysis and systematic reviews published in peer-reviewed medical and scientific journals show that higher magnesium intake correlates with lower risk of CVD by 11-15%, and in one meta study as much as 30%. The World Health Organization (WHO) reports show that cardiovascular diseases are the number one cause of death globally. More people die annually from cardiovascular disease (CVD) than from any other cause, and a staggering estimated 17.7 million people died from CVD in 2015, representing 31% of all global deaths. (Fewer than 10% of adults in the United States are consuming the recommended magnesium intake (RDA) from foods and beverages.)
